Beginning in 2014 Mayberry Gardens will begin to offer an Assisted Living franchise program. In this expanding yet extremely competitive market we believe it is absolutely paramount to have a partner that can help you achieve success. As a franchisee with Mayberry Gardens we would be the partner that you need.
We have found that there are many people who want to get into the senior care business but do not have the knowledge or know how, don’t have the capital, or basically don’t know where to even start. That’s where we come in. Owning and operating a Mayberry Gardens franchise would be similar to other service oriented type business, like a restaurant or hotel. However, it is a complicated and highly regulated business that requires the invaluable knowledge and experience that we have and will provide to you as a franchisee.
We welcome applications and inquiries from individuals, partnerships and current business owners. We do not, however, allow a franchisee to be the owner or partner of an existing assisted living facility. However, owning a nursing home, independent living, or memory care facility would not preclude you as a candidate. In fact an assisted living facility often complements those types of facilities. Individuals and partnerships with the financial strength, a strong history of owning businesses and experience in management are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications for Prospective Mayberry Gardens Assisted Living Franchise Owners
At Mayberry Gardens we are searching for franchisees that are ready and capable of owning, operating and growing an assisted living facility. Successful individuals will be expected to invest time and energy and enjoy working in the day to day operations of a service business. Assisted living facilities are service oriented businesses centered on people. Owners can expect much time to be spent with the elderly residents, their families, and staff members. Owners are also expected to be involved in the community and know what is going on in the local market. This will help keep facilities full and run a successful and profitable business. The care of the residents will be paramount. Part of what comes with the Mayberry Gardens name is a reputation of excellent service, a well maintained and beautiful property, and a feeling of wellbeing among the residents.
Another consideration is whether or not you have the financial resources to build and grow your Mayberry Gardens franchise? Total project cost of one facility will normally be in the $3m-$5m range, depending on the number of units as well as the cost of the land, development , and construction. Typically 20% of the project cost is required by the bank to close on the loan.
Other requirements may include:
- A strong business background showing your ability to own, operate, grow and finance a successful business.
- Clean credit history and an excellent history of meeting personal and business financial obligations.
- Furnishing financial statements, tax returns, and other documents that help Mayberry Gardens determine if you are a strong candidate for a franchise.
